PURPLE DYE

It is some yarn I dyed yesterday with food colouring. I bathed it and slowly heated it in a pan of pink food colouring then I added blue in a few spots around the yarn but I think I must have put a bit more than I should have because it turned bright purple in the pan. Once it had soaked the colour up and it was rinsed it showed the bluer bits up and the rest is a pinky purply shade.

Weekend Catch Up

Here are some socks I finished at the weekend. The pattern is called Heddas and looks like really cute hearts.

I also did a couple of scrapbook layouts on saturday using the April Studio Calico kit. The photo printer is out of ink so I used some previously printed pictures. The Woodland Walk one is from 2004 so definitely time to scrap it.

A Make Over

I used Daisy Bucket In The Meadow papers and inspiration from Scrap Schemes Scheme 18. Not scanned very well I'm afraid.

A Bit Of Busyness

All the layouts are done with mainly Scraproom kits except this one which is just a bit of KI Memories Pet paper.

Twilight Mittens

I made Bella's Mittens . Shame she wouldn't pose with an apple in her hands but hey ho.

Oh and somebody asked what the knitting was the other day. The pink one was a sock with a completely different set up to normal but sadly is no more as the yarn yardage was just not long enough. The other more rusty coloured one is the Rockin Sock Club sock for March.
