Almost There
The builders left last week and came back on friday to do some jobs they had missed. Over the weekend my husband got the decorating done. If he had left it to me then it would probably still be waiting.
So this is what the loft looks like now
For some reason the colour looks totally different on both pictures. It is actually somewhere inbetween the two. Dabble Blue by B&Q
The staircase is now B&Q Warm Beige. It was, in the words of my husband, a pain in the arse and will never be painted again.
Next on the list is a carpet for the loft which I bought today and is being fitted later in the week. I didn't realise how expensive stair carpets are to fit so that will wait until another month. Then onto decorating the other rooms.
The main staircase had a cream/off white carpet which was a major mistake. After a couple of weeks there were black marks in the corners where the muck was coming up through the floorboards. I will never ever buy another pale coloured carpet. That went to the tip this morning so everything is very echoy until we get a new one.

Skywatch
Things are a bit busy at the moment. The builders finished on monday but there are some little things that aren't up to scratch so they are coming back tomorrow. Hopefully followed by the building inspector early next week to make sure it has all been done properly and then he will release the remainder of the grant cheque to the builders. The builders said there won't just be one person, more like half a dozen so I'm glad it has to be checked so thoroughly and then everything is right.
We have painted in the loft, not finished yet but I am really liking the shade I chose. I have priced up carpets, bought the paint for the stairs, ordered bedding and ordered one of our sons a new bed. Those are the important things for now and everything else will be done when we can afford it.
Onto Skywatch - I haven't really seen much sky this week apart from through the window. The weather has been dark and dreary so I have gone way back into the archives for this one. 2006 to be exact and a shot from Llandudno pier using an old digital camera that was, to put it bluntly, a pile of crap in comparison to the point and shoot cameras of today. Just shows how much technology evolves in a short space of time.

Mini Book Page
This page is one I did for the UKScrappers homepage. There is a pdf over there with a step by step explanation. I can't figure out how to get it up on here.

Skywatch
I have no idea where this week has disappeared to. Thursday has crept up and bit me on the bottom and I had almost forgotten about skywatch. That is what a bank holiday weekend, school holidays and builders still being here when they should be finished does for you.
This picture is one I took in the local DIY car park. I find it pretty disturbing and dangerous that they are allowed to have an electricity pylon in the car park. Being a bank holiday monday when we went though parking was limited and we ended up parked right by it.
