Clouds WIPS and A June Photo Challenge

I've started a new blog for anybody who is interested in clouds and skies etc.  I will be posting skywatch skies over there in future and probably use this blog for my personal and craft stuff.

The Craft Garden June challenge is up.  I made this flower but forgot that hubby is away camping with the boys until later today and he has the camera so had to use my phone which is why it is a crappity crap piccie.

The challenge is from the traditional wedding rhyme - something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.  I left out the something borrowed bit as I thought that once you have something on a layout or card etc then you ain't going to want to give it back.

My old is the fabric, new is the blue lace and blue is obviously the lace but also the navy blue button.

At the weekend I had a really good think about my knitting and where I was going with all the works in progress I had.  It was getting out of hand. I admitted to myself that I am a serial starter of projects.  There was only one thing for it. I needed a fresh start so I frogged the bloody lot of them.  There were about a dozen things - socks, shawls, scarves all of which would never have been finished.  My head is a lot clearer and I really wanted to get started on a granny stripe blanket as a throw for the living room.  We all know that the little voices will say "start me" over and over whenever I see a new project and yes I probably will start them and rebuild a new pile of WIPs but for now I am focusing on this

For more WIPs please see TamisAmis

I found this via a friend yesterday.  I am going to try and take part as the list looks quite do-able.

I've done that with projects before too and it feels good.

I love the Granny Stripe colours.

So brave to frog everything!

Have taken a wander over to your new blog and linked up some of my own sky pictures. Love the idea of it.

Good luck with the 30 day challenge as well!

How do you keep track of so many meme's? lol

Love the colors in your granny strip, very pretty.

The wedding flower is very nice. Enjoy your peace and quiet time while the others are out camping. Think of all the non interrupted crafting time you have.

That wedding-poem-tradition is such a cool inspiration for a craft challenge, and I really like the flower you made. :) I love the granny stripes, too, the colours are perfectly springy and wonderful.

And thanks for the link to that June photo challenge, I may have to join in!

I like having mulitiple projects gong too, but I know it can get out of hand. It must be a good feeling to get a fresh start.

OMG - you frogged them all ??! I'm in awe of your determination ! :-)

Good for you on the frogging - sometimes a bit of decluttering is just what is called for.

Like the photo link, I'm doing the 365 project and that's a good list for inspiration.

I understand about wanting to get a fresh start on the knitting. That was brave of you to frog all of those projects. I had about 10 WIP's at the start of the year, but am determined to get down to 3 or 4 soon. Those colors that you are using for your blanket are great and go so well together.

Congrats on starting fresh! Sounds like something I need to do as well :P

Your granny stripe blanket is looking good so far. I love working on granny stripes and the traditional granny squares. Easy and good for instant gratification...or at least for each color change :P I also love how I can work on the granny patterns pretty mindlessly while busy doing other things. Makes me feel like I can actually multi-task!

I love the granny stripes! It's such a fun and easy project. I'm about half way with mine, but unfortunately it's sitting under the coffee table waiting to be finished. You've inspired me to work on it more!
